John Mould of Lethbridge, manager of the LNID for the past two years and associated previously with five irrigation districts in the south, died in November 1965 at the age of 64.

He worked as an engineer, district manager, colonization manager, official trustee and was also at one time supervisor of irrigation for the province.

He was appointed manager of the LNID in April 1964. A resident of the Lethbridge district since 1938, he worked with Mountain View, Leavitt, Etna, S. MacLeod and United Irrigation districts.

Born at Lundbreck in 1905, he graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1930 with a bachelor degree in engineering, and in 1932, with a master of science in structural engineering.

Mr. Mould articled as a land surveyor for a short time. He began as a Dominion Land Surveyor in March 1935, as a Saskatchewan Land Surveyor in March 1937, and as an Alberta Land Surveyor in May 1938.

In 1938 he went to Cardston to work for the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Act. He became official trustee of the United Irrigation District in 1947, working from Glenwood. He moved to Lethbridge in 1954 to work with P.M. Sauder in service with the provincial agriculture department.
