  • Born April 6, 1881, Boxall, Elgin County, ON

  • Graduate S.P.S., Toronto, 1902

  • DLS 1908, OLS 1910, SLS 1913

  • Worked with Topographic Surveys Branch, Ottawa

  • Surveys in BC under J.E. Ross, DLS in 1903

  • Assistant to P.R. Belanger DLS, District of Assiniboia, 1904

  • Surveyed for Grand Trunk Railway in 1904

  • 1908 – 1913 worked on contract in Western Canada doing Township surveys

  • Worked in Lloydminster with Field Husbandry Association. He was also a well known farmer in the area and grower of prize seed grains.

  • Director of Seed Pool

  • Died on January 5, 1929 of pneumonia following influenza.

  • A lake in Manitoba, at latitude 58 degrees 19 minutes, longitude 93degrees, 44 minutes, has been named after him.
