Clarence Edgar Brock , SLS, MLS passed away on October 31, 1999 at the age of seventy-eight.

Mr. Brock was born in Portage La Prairie on May 29, 1921. He served in the 1st Canadian Survey Regiment of the Royal Canadian Army. After leaving military service, he became employed by the Manitoba Government. From May 1946 to May 1949 he articled in Manitoba and receiving his MLS commission in 1949. He continued employment with the Manitoba Government until September 1951 at which time he became employed by the Dominion Government. In October of 1952 he went into private practice in Brandon, Manitoba and in1953 was granted commission #111 as a Saskatchewan Land Surveyor. He continued his practice until 1967 when he retired although he maintained his membership as an inactive member in the Saskatchewan Land Surveyors’ Association until 1973.

Mr. Brock was president of the Manitoba Land Surveyors Association in 1956 and served one term on the Council of the Saskatchewan Land Surveyors’ Association in 1953.

Predeceased by his wife Ruby, he had one son and two daughters.
