Mr. George Webber was born on July 12, 1902 at Manitou, Manitoba. Be obtained his D.L.S. commission in 1927, his M.L.S. in 1928, S.L.S. in 1939 and A.L.S. in 1951.

Mr. Webber joined the Royal Canadian Engineers during World War II, and saw service in Great Britain, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Be was discharged in 1945 with the rank of Captain.

A large portion of his surveying career was spent in Northern Manitoba on mining claim surveys, underground surveys for Lynn Lake Mines, and control traverse surveys in the Central Manitoba mining district. Mr. Webber also did municipal surveying and engineering.

In January, 1952 Mr. Webber was appointed Examiner of Surveys in the Winnipeg Land Title Office, a position he held until his retirement in 1965.
